ABOUT

BIO
Melbourne based artist Richard McCoy's practice looks at sexuality, identity and the nature of reality through the lens of classical and Renaissance art, appropriation, and kitsch, digital design. After showing his masters artworks at London's Tate Britain, he works across fashion, print design, photography and digital art with the aim of suggesting alternatives to how we see the past, reality, and the transformative power of art.

3D PRINTING
In 2013 Richard completed his Master’s of Art and Design, which resulted in the worlds first academic study of 3D printing directly onto fabric. Images of the resulting textiles as well as other works were then shown at London’s Tate Britain in 2014 as part of the exhibition, ‘Source: Pattern, Graphics and Print’.
